Ever hear a little nagging voice inside you telling you to do something? Not an overwhelming clear message, but just a little whisper?

That happened to me over the weekend. Now anyone who knows me knows that I am a very visual person. I like to see things, so I am drawn to video. But something nipped at me to pick up a book. I heard a whisper. Over time I have learned to listen to these whispers.

As I opened the pages of Lisa Nichol’s book No Matter What, I was guided to words that I didn’t realize I really needed to see. I knew I needed a little boost to get my vibration up and my mindset to a higher place. I am embarking on a new voyage in my business. I am developing online products and setting up a business (marketing/customer relationship management/e-commerce) system to my website. It is exciting and energizing, yet scary and a lot of work! I needed to bolster my motivation.

My hands were guided to two chapters: Chapter Six (Developing Your Say-Yes Muscle – Being Willing to Play Full Out) and Chapter Seven (Developing Your Determination Muscle – Doing What It Takes to Get to Your Mountaintop). As I read the words, sentences, and paragraphs I realized they contained exactly what I needed to hear. It fanned the flames that were holding at a steady smolder, and now they are raging flames again! And I am ALL IN!

I am writing about this experience because I was reminded how important it is to be ok with quieting down, settling in your own space and listening to the whispers around you. We tend to rush in a misdirected frenzy and speed by the whispers or we spiral down in a funk, playing into discouragement and lack of motivation and ignore the whispers.

Advice: Be aware of the whispers. They are all around you helping you, guiding you. Ignore them at your own peril. My whispers have never let me down. On the contrary, they have served to keep my head in the game and strengthen my focus on achieving my goals.
