One of the misnomers about the law of attraction is that you just think thoughts really hard and then those things happen. I wish! But alas, it is not that easy.

To engage the law of attraction you start with the thought. This engages the conscious mind. What is it that you want to attract? But that is only the first step!

You also need to FEEL those thoughts. If you want to attract a brand new car, you need to imagine yourself in that car. Smell the ‘new car smell’. Feel the seats. Open the sunroof and feel the sun shining on you. You need to visualize having this car. Visualization brings the subconscious mind into play. Remember to visualize having the thing you are seeking in the present tense. If you visualize as having it soon, or in the near future – it will always be soon or in the near future in your subconscious mind.

Action Clap Board

There is a third step. And for me, this was the hardest to get down. You have to get into action. Manifestation does not happen by thinking good thoughts and then whatever you want falls out of the sky! You have to be the catalyst for the manifestation. This means action.

I really struggled with this when I was first learning about the law of attraction. I thought action had to be big sweeping gestures. More times than not I wasn’t even sure what action I should take. And then I realized that any action is action. And as I just started getting into action, even just a little, more ideas of what to do to stay in action came to me. And I stayed in motion.

One trap we fall into is that when we think we need to do large actions, it is easier to find excuses as to why we can’t be in action. That costs too much. That takes too much time. I don’t have the resources for all that. I wouldn’t know where to begin to do that.

So here is a tip: start small! There is nothing written in the Universe that the actions you take toward your goal must weigh this much, measure this much, or look this way. All that is required is some movement.

If you are feeling stuck taking action, here are some tips:

And guess what? All of the tips above are ACTION! See, it doesn’t have to be huge – it just has to be something! The requirement is to get moving in some way. Once you do more and more ideas will come to you. If you feel stuck, try the above tips again. Just don’t give up. How bad do you want this goal? If you want it bad enough, you’ll find the action!
